MENTAL HEALTH AND COVID-19

The novel corona virus has not only taken a toll on our physical health but also on our mental well being. It is heart breaking to see the number of covid  fatalities, deaths due to floods, job loses and cries of migrant workers. Things get the better of me as I travel in a realm of darkness and despair, overwhelmed with grief. Mind jostles with a wide range of emotions as I struggle to be optimistic. Staying positive is not as easy as one says amidst the unprecedented pandemic, isolated from loved ones. The fear of being vulnerable and the woes of millions of people sucks the life out of me. I plunge into depths of misery, hopeless. Battling anxiety and depression is tough, precisely exhausting. Mental well being is as important as physical health. Read a book, watch a movie, talk to your trusted peer. Do not shy to speak out, mental health begins with you :)).
